You end up real disappointed when you go through life thinking people have the same heart as you.
ok as a graphic designer I want to say something:
and I believe I am entitled/able to successfully discuss/have experience-degree in graphic design.
photoshop gets a bad rep
people throw around the word photoshop so loosely I wonder if they even know what they are talking about. I’m not trying to put down anyone here, just making a valid observation that the use of the word photoshop from a non-designer’s vocabulary may not be carrying the correct connotations about the design program in itself.
and I say design program because adobe’s photoshop is so much more then just retouching a face, or slimming down a body.
I have created entire pieces of digital illustration hand drawn and painted with various tools and brushes within the software which have absolutely nothing to do with retouching makeup onto a face, or taking fat of one’s body.
I have created gifs from drawings and photos captured, adjusted lighting in nature scenes, changed formats in jpegs for printing, created layered documents with textures upon textures etc..
can we all try to stop “shaming” the use of the word photoshop and perhaps insert “photo manipulation/editing” perhaps?
